Update on My Boys

So its been almost a month since the boys have been back to school. Caleb is adjusting well to the First Grade thus far and Noah is fighting the potty training blues lol ... hey i figured he wont be in college in diapers so .... lol no really, he's trying but seems to be to busy to concentrate on his bowels ... Caleb just started piano lessons today and i think he might actually like it :) Noah were going to try a round of Tae Kwon Do for him and see how he likes it , he likes to mimic his big bro so we are thinking it might be A ok !!!

Our Latest Parenting Idea ...

Hello World , Mom Walker here, *waves* its been a while since ive blogged but here i am today trying to start anew .... 

                                                        

soooo, let me let you all in on our latest parenting idea lol

* drum roll*

Hubby and i were trying to find a way to log or track the boys lives as they grow, a journal would have been nice except i dont really like my hand writting, and i couldn't find an online one soooo

 here's what we did ...

we created email addresses for both Caleb & Noah and we will be sending them emails to track or journalize ( is that a word) the happenings of their lives, funny stories, mile stones, etc etc im sure they will give us tons to write about hahah , and when they both are older ( God willing) we will give them the password and they can read about allll about their childhood :)

Brunch/Dining around the world!!! Thailand !!! (January)

Hi guys!!! soo saturday started the first night in the series , Brunching/Dining around the world or BDAW ... sooo two of my favorite people in the world (Ese & Krys) dined with me at SEA Thai Restaurant in Williamsburg Brooklyn. The wait was over an hour and a half but we decided to wait anyway...besides the long wait and LOUD music, food, service, ambiance were awesome... But what sets Sea apart is the time delivery, the location, and the prices. The food is inexpensive, your food is on your table within 10 minutes after you order. I do think the drinks are a bit expensive in that you would expect the drinks to be in the same price range as the inexpensive food, but hey! If you're looking for a great value, fast yet efficient delivery, new experience, you canNOT go wrong with Sea!

Whoop whoop I got a promotion at work on Friday and I am super grateful to God and  excited and just wanted to share with you!!! Last night my girlfriends Krys & Ese took me out to celebrate!!! Cheers to good friends promotions laughs and just a good ole get home at 3 am type of night! Catching Up

Hey, its been so long and so much has happened , Caleb graduated kindergarten, we took our yearly family vacation to Jamaica W.I Noah celebrated his 2nd birthday, Noah also started Preschool ... aww so much to smile about...so i have much to post...ENJOY!!!

I HATE NEW YORK !!!

WELL WELL WELL , WHAT DO WE HAVE HERE, ITS ME KERRY HERE TO VENT MY FRUSTRATION OF THE DAY!!! TODAY I CRIED MY EYES OUT TO THE POINT WHERE I WAS THROWING UP AFTER ANOTHER SCHOOL I CALLED TOLD ME WE WEREN'T 'ZONED"..... READ ON...... OK SO MY LITTLE CALEB, A BRIGHT, READING, WRITING RISING STAR !!!! IS GRADUATING THIS MONTH AND HAS TO MOVE ON TO KINDERGARDEN IN SEPTEMBER, NOW AFTER APPLYING TO ABOUT 300,000,00 CHARTER SCHOOLS, MY LIL CALEB GOT INTO ZEROOOO ( I WOULD PUT MY CAPLOCK ON NOW FOR EFFECT BUT...) SIMPLY BECAUSE HE DOESNT LIVE IN A CERTAIN AREA AND HIS NAME WASNT PICKED OUT OF A HAT!!! LITERALLY* ....MEANWHILE OTHER CHILDREN HAVE HAD THEIR NAMES PICKED OUT OF 4, 5 AND EVEN 6 HATS. NO PROBLEM. HE CAN STILL GO TO HIS ZONED SCHOOL RIGHT? EXCEPT HIS ZONED SCHOOL HAS BEEN GETTING WORSE ACCORDING TO THE NYC DOE REPORT CARDS. GOING FROM A "B+" TO A "C-". HOW COULD IT GET ANY WORSE YOU ASK? THERE'S A BETTER SCHOOLS ABOUT 4 OR 5 BLOCKS AWAY BUT HE CAN'T GO THERE BECAUSE THAT'S NOT HIS ZONE. WE'RE CLOSE ENOUGH TO BE A PART OF THE NEIGHBORHOOD WHEN APTS NEED TO BE SOLD AND RENTS RAISED BUT NOT CLOSE ENOUGH TO SHARE SCHOOLS. NEVER MIND THAT THEY HAVE OPEN SEATS AND SHORT OR NO WAITING LISTS. AND STILL WE'VE GOT NO CALLS FROM ANY OF THE CHARTER SCHOOLS SAYING THAT HE'S BEEN AN OPENING. OTHER FAMILIES ARE TAKING THEIR PICK OF SCHOOLS AND WE HAVE NO CHOICE AT ALL. THE SYSTEM JUST DOESN'T SEEM RIGHT. IS HE JUST SUPPOSE TO GO TO A SCHOOL BECAUSE ITS IN HIS ZONE, REGARDLESS OF ITS ABILITY TO ACTUALLY TEACH HIM ANYTHING?
BUT THANKS BE TO GOD WHO ALWAYS PROVIDES WHAT HIS CHILDREN NEED. ON AN OFF CHANCE WE FOUND AN OPENING IN A WHAT SEEMS TO BE GOOD SCHOOL AND NOT TOO FAR AWAY. WE BELIEVE THAT CALEB AND NOAH WILL GROW TO BE GREAT CONTRIBUTORS TO SOCIETY DESPITE WHAT THE SYSTEM HAS PLANNED FOR THEM.

Meet Our New Puppy

her name is Sasha and we loveeeeeee her so much!!! *cough* she will arrive for Christmas 2011 !!! the boys are going to LOVE her , Dad on the other hand is not so thrilled, actually he doesn't even know, but hey he asked me for kids and i gave him TWO beautiful boys !!! i asked him for a pup and... again i must take things into MY own hands :-)

Turning Our House into a Home

i love fresh flowers, although they do die , embracing them in the moment is a beautiful feeling, they smell so fresh and lighten up any dull room, now since my hubby tends to "forget" to buy them for me ... i have to take matters into my own hands hahaha so ive decided to buy fresh flowers for our apartment every 2 weeks ... when i look over at them i SMILE :-)

Battle of the bulge ;-)

hey, today some of my sisters and i started back on our 3 mile walk at Prospect Park . we did this for most of summer 2010 and it really did alot for us, this time however we decided to incorporate prayer into our work out and i must say i feel GREAT!!! God heard and he answered , we did it with no complaints and we know that with God we can shed the pounds we need to and be healthy and live long lives :) i rarely talk about how unhappy i am with my weight but i must be honest with myself and apparently this blog lol and just say I AM UNHAPPY WITH MY WEIGHT, i cant blame my kids anymore because my youngest Noah is almost 2 ... but hey , no time like the present to get on track , no matter how many times i fail or cheat , i'm determined to get right back on track i want to be healthy and feel good about myself! so i'm doing something about it! YOU don't like something FIX it!!! xoxo


ON ANOTHER NOTE LOL, THESE 2 SUGAR PLUMS HAD HOT DOGS B4 THE WALK , I THOUGHT THAT WAS HILARIOUS, THEY DID SAY THEY WORKED OFF THE HOT DOGS DURING THE WALK! GOTTA LOVE SKINNY GIRLS LOL

My boys won't stay out of our bed!!!

So Noah can officially climb out of his crib with noooooo problem!!! And last night he actually woke up and came onto our bed!!!!say it ain't so , he totally got that from big brother Caleb . Caleb wakes up every night at 3am and comes into our room #ughh
We need to fix this asap !!! Good night !!! Boys , mom and dad will see you both at 3ish :-$

SUNDAY MAY 29TH MY GRAMMA SARAH CELEBRATED HER 76TH BIRTHDAY!!! I PRAY SHE LIVES TO SEE SOOOOOO MANY MORE BIRTHDAYS , MY FAMILY AND I THREW HER A BIRTHDAY BARBEUE, THE WEATHER WAS SOOOOO NICE!!! (THANKS GOD FOR HOOKING IT UP ) LOL IT WAS SUCH A PLEASURE TO SEE ALOT OF FAMILY TOGETHER AT ONE TIME , EVERYOE HAVING A GOOD TIME EATING CHATTING PLAYING DOMINOES DRINKING LAUGHING PLAYING UNO AND SO MUCH MORE WE DIDNT LEAVE UNCLE GREG'S HOUSE UNTIL AFTER ABOUT 12 AM , I TRULY LOVE MY FAMILY , WE ARE NOT PERFECT AND HAVE OUR OWN LITTLE DRAMA HERE AND THERE BUT IN THE END WE HAVE EACH OTHERS BACK AND THATS WHAT ITS ALL ABOUT RIGHT? LOL BUT HONESTLY I HEAR HORROR STORIES ABOUT SOME FAMILY GET TOGETHERS AND IVE GOTTA SAY THANK YOU LORD THAT ITS NOT THE CASE WITH US!!! GOD GAVE EACH OF US OUR FAMILIES FOR A REASON, WE MIGHT NOT ALWAYS AGREE BUT LETS MAKE THE BEST OF IT AND LOVE UNCONDITIONALLY .... ALRIGHT ALRIGHT IM DONE LOL I'LL ADD MORE PICS NOW ;-)

Facebook & Baby Mommas

good day viewers, I'm a day late with this blog but i shall type on anyways.... this blog has been inspired by Facebook... I'm sooooo sick of "babymommas" bad mouthing their "babydaddies" on Facebook of all places. personally i think it makes you look just as bad if not WORST because you did choose to procreate with this person didn't you??? did he not show any signs prior to sex that he wasn't prince charming??? don't you think one day your kids will read what you wrote about their dad, DON'T get me wrong there are deadbeats out there that need to be exposed , i just think they need to be exposed in COURT not Facebook. I'm not trying to bash , just encourage us mothers to choose wisely who we procreate with and when things go sour don't turn to you Facebook status, turn to God , He will give you the wisdom you need in order to keep it together. and having a good network of friends and family will also help you keep it together at times... love you all , thanks for reading , please do give feedback on this :)
